Xwatch System
Due to the proximity of some lower high voltage overhead lines the project decided to install the Xwatch system.
This technology creates a virtual barrier around the plant and restricts the height that the arm of the excavator can be operated at.
It also integrates with the contractors 3D design model so that the safety restrictions remain in place but also the work is undertaken following the required design.
This means the operators can focus on their tasks without the worry of getting too close to the overhead lines.
