You only get one chance to make a first impression

Smart, tidy personnel and vehicles provide an instant first impression on our company and the construction industry.

At Norris, all of our drivers are provided with embroidered work wear: polo shirts, sweatshirts & fleeces, combat trousers, baseball caps for the summer heat, and even beanie hats to keep them warm in the winter.

Staff are also provided with PPE, of which our orange high-vis has the CCS logo printed on the front to promote the industry and to show our support of the Scheme. We decided to provide our team with orange high-vis which conforms to BS EN 471. It is a well-known fact that rail workers wear orange as yellow and green are used for train signalling, making orange a better colour for improvising visibility and in-hand safety of workers.

We have created an incentive for our drivers to maintain the fleet appearance standard by introducing a ‘Wash Down Bonus’ – a scheme which sees our drivers rewarded weekly for taking pride in their vehicle; we believe rewarding the drivers has been more beneficial then fining those drivers who fell below an acceptable standard.
