Zero Tolerance for Bad Site Etiquette

At Wooldridge Demolition, we are always looking at ways to improve the overall image of the industry. One major area we wanted to address was the etiquette of operatives on site, in relation to the public as well as each other.

We have enrolled a ‘Zero Tolerance for Bad Site Etiquette’ campaign which involves every operative on site to sign up, at the time of induction, to be part of the campaign which stands for the following:

  • Treat the public with respect
  • Don’t wolf whistle
  • Respect female colleagues
  • Don’t shout sexist comments
  • Don’t shout racist remarks
  • Support colleagues

By signing up to this campaign, each operative is agreeing to follow these steps and work ‘The Wooldridge Way’. Every person on site is then given an etiquette badge that is to be worn on their PPE around the site at all times.

The campaign is also promoted throughout site with A5 flyers. This is visible for all site staff, visitors and the general public. This allows the public to see that not only do we have these steps in place, but the operatives are following them too.

We have gained a lot of positive feedback and whilst all Wooldridge Demolition site operatives abide by these guidelines anyway, the campaign serves a general reminder to be respectful and allows us to promote a positive image of the industry.
