ZoneRanger

ZoneRanger aims to take the stress away from employers by equipping workforces with devices which will emit a signal if the wearer gets too close to someone else. ZoneRanger operates by transmitting wireless signals that are picked up by other ZoneRanger devices.

When the distance between two devices drops below a programmed parameter (e.g. two metres) both devices will alert to indicate that the wearers are not maintaining the appropriate social distancing measures. Parameters are preset to meet current social distancing guidelines but can be amended to any specification by USB control at the charging station.

Zone Ranger is a simple, unobstructive device that doesn’t store any personal data from the user and works as an ideal tool across a range of sectors including construction, distribution, logistics, healthcare and education.

The team behind Zone Ranger has also developed Ranger Link, which enables any number of ZoneRanger wearable devices to quickly and easily be linked to create any size of group. Once a group has been formed, users are only alerted if a ZoneRanger from outside the group comes within range. Groups are disbanded when the ZoneRanger device is placed back into the RangerHub. This means that groups can stay together when necessary.
