Zonify System Used to Notify Operative and Plant Proximity
This project is using a system called ‘Zonify’ that notifies operatives and plant operatives in real time of their proximity to hazards and obstacles, including those above them, and how near the operatives are to the site or working area boundary.
The site or working area boundary (geofence) can be changed daily using a mobile phone application. The system can also measure the tip, tilt, pitch and roll of the off-road articulated dump trucks.
This real time data has been used to quickly identify sections of haul roads that need to be regraded. High value tools can also be electronically tagged using the system, which identifies when they have not been returned to the stores at the end of the working day.
