Expectation: Provide induction and ongoing training to maintain competency
What this means in practice
Competency does not stop at initial checks. Sites are expected to provide clear inductions and ongoing training so that people understand site rules, risks and expectations as work progresses.
This includes training on behaviours, safety, site‑specific risks and CCS expectations, particularly for those who lead or supervise work.

What this looks like in practice
Inductions are clear, relevant and reflect the real risks and behaviours expected on site. Toolbox talks are used to reinforce learning as work changes, and refresher training is provided when issues arise or standards slip.
Training records are kept up to date, and site leadership can clearly demonstrate who has completed required learning and who needs further support.
