Six Acts of Charity – Charity Bootlaces

At the beginning of the project the site decided that they wanted to raise money for charity and get the whole site involved and to make it as public as possible.

The idea came to support six different charities, represented by six different colours of laces, that would be sold to raise money for the charity.

Taking it one step further, it was decided to do “Six Acts of Charity”, one for each charity, as it is much harder to give time than money.

For example the Project Coordinator, took part in the Three Peaks Challenge for Plastic Oceans, the site is meat free on a Tuesday for WWF, and the site has a pink cake day for Breast Cancer Care and gives out ‘check and prevent leaflets’ in an unobtrusive way.

The wearing of different colour laces was a success and was also taken up by the client and visitors to the site.
