Safety, Environment, Community and Crime Awareness Training

The Site Management Logistics team undertook a TFL Safety, Environment, Community and Crime awareness training programme with Michael Barrett from TFL. The training recognised the importance of value and inclusion of the community.

They discussed vision zero and highlighting to the staff how small changes can make big environmental impacts. Looking at logistics efficiency and where improvements can be made in their on site logistics planning, the social and medical model of disability and opportunity crime including a spatial planning walk around the perimeter of the site to look at issues of both site and local community safety and security, and for access and egress for anyone with accessibility requirements and how they can work to improve this for everyone.

From this training there were a number of improvements highlighted which they have made to the local area including adding additional lighting, CCTV and two way mirror to an underpass area which is outside the site. New pedestrian diversion and information signage which will improve pedestrian movements to Kidbrooke train station have also been installed.
