Bespoke Collar Solution
Due to utilities issues on the road, this contractors design and construction teams have had to review how they can prop and jack the crosshead.
Due to the close proximity of major services in the vicinity they could not install a standard propping system design, so they have had to think outside the box and came up with a collar solution.
This solution involved adapting the strengthening works of the existing column and foundation required at this location to accommodate the collar solution. This involved using a bespoke shuttering solution purposely built for this design.
Due to these changes they were able to carry this work out in a 8 week period.
