Acoustic Quilts for Noise Reduction

Construction sites are becoming increasingly sensitive to issues relating to noise pollution.

This is especially important on sites with surrounding residential developments, such as the Creek Road Scheme in London. We are often presented with stringent noise reduction requirements imposed by the local authorities and the Control of Pollution Act 1974 Section 61.

Soundex Acoustic Quilts incorporate a range of enclosures, curtains and quilts to create internal and external barriers or chambers to reduce, by attenuation and absorption, noise made by site plant from small fans, portable compressors, to large site generators and other general site activities.

The Soundex enclosure provides a complete acoustic enclosure around the generator ensuring noise reduction. In addition, it is fire resistant and non-irritant, with no glass-fibre content.

Suspended from temporary site fence panels (Heras) located around the four sides of the generator, the acoustics quilts are easy to install and can reduce noise by up to 24 dB.
