Energy Efficient Site Accommodation

Wernick Hire, a Scheme-registered supplier, ensure all of our site accommodation cabins are available in our eco-friendly ‘GreenSpace’ specification, meaning they’ll include features like improved insulation, timed heaters and non-concussive push taps.

To support our GreenSpace units we have launched the GreenSpace ‘Innovations’ range which makes use of battery storage and renewable energy technology to cut on-site carbon emissions by up to 80%.

Systems available to reduce environmental impact, and energy bills, include:

  • Save Box Energy storage units – Lithium battery storage system allow you to use a lower watt generator on site and store energy to deal with spikes in demand. The SaveBox battery system can be set up in a range of configurations, taking power from a generator, the grid, renewable energy sources or a combination of all three. The intelligent technology in the SaveBox system allows the battery to control which sources it takes power from, switching the generator off at times of low use, and storing solar or wind energy to deal with spikes in demand. Unique on board telemetry allows for full remote live system monitoring and historical data recording via an easy to understand web connected app.
  • Pop-Up solar panels – Light, portable and easy to set up, these solar panels can be roof fitted or ground mounted, providing hours of carbon free energy.
  • Pop-Up Wind Turbines – Install in a matter of minutes and harness the power of the British weather to reduce carbon emissions
