The project team opened the doors to their site to invite family and friends to visit and showcase the hard work, success and pride they have in the project.

This huge event consisted of three two-hour sessions, with a welcome area on Level 5 featuring a refreshments station and a state of the art kids zone, including personalised hi-vis vests, a variety of games, a giant Lego castle and the chance for children to write their names on and colour in a giant wall mural!

Guests were invited to two informative and interactive presentations about how we have constructed the building and our greatest achievements, followed by the opportunity to take part in a site tour, which included a walk around Art Street on the Ground Floor, featuring art from the architectural stained glass artist, Alexander Beleschenko; and a ride up to Level 55 via our fastest passenger lifts which travel at an amazing eight metres per second. On Level 55, our guests were treated to an uninterrupted view of London’s skyline and the opportunity to sign a tile that will forever be a part of this iconic building.

In total, the project team welcomed over 1,000 guests for the Family and Friends Day. The greatest reward of all was being able to show our nearest and dearest the result of our hard work and commitment, giving them a glimpse of the journey we have all been on over the last four years.
