Fire Safety Awareness and Extinguisher Training Session

We have arranged for an external training provider to visit our project and deliver a Fire Safety Awareness training session. The session was presented to a selection of the site office staff and sub-contractor operatives working on the project.

The group were taken through the awareness session in the site office meeting room covering topics such as the physics of fire (the fire triangle), risk assessments, and the requirement for Appointed Persons.

The second half of the course was then conducted outside in a segregated area of the site where the attendees were encouraged to use each of the 4 different types of fire extinguishers. This allowed them to see the effects each type of extinguisher has on treating a fire.

All attendees were presented with a training certificate on completion of the course.
