As part of our Crossrail C405 Paddington Health & Safety Campaigns we ran a campaign on HAVS.

The campaign consisted of toolbox talks throughout the month, monitoring and auditing our supply chain.

There were posters distributed throughout site on empowering messages on the effects of HAVS and that it does not only affect the individual but affects the families if you are unable to have a stable grip for example cutlery, lifting any goods, shopping etc.

We had gloves on site which the site team were able to put on and were able to feel the symptoms such as numbness and experience what it was like to have Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome.

This was a key learning aid on emphasising the topic and the extent of having the Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome as an ill health condition.
