Magnetic Tethers:
As part of our working at height safety procedures, we require all items on a leading edge to be tethered, including small nuts and bolts.

These are very challenging to tether in a conventional way, due to their size and sometimes awkward shapes. Therefore, we decided to introduce magnetic tethers for all work at height. The majority of contractors have bought into this method and have included it in their Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).

These magnets can be tethered to the tethers contractors already use on site and are strong enough to hold even large bolts, making them ideal for ensuring that nothing comes off the building edge.

Spray Can Tethers:
Spray cans are used for numerous activities on site, including spraying façade brackets on a leading edge. However, these are very awkward to tether.

As a way of addressing this issue, we have implemented bespoke spray can tethers. These can be tethered to the person or to any suitable structure.
