Motion Based Measuring Technology

Measuring complex areas with traditional tools and transferring scribbled data to the clipboard and pen has so much potential for error. This contractor is using Moasure which is a motion-based measuring tool.

Built using high performance inertial sensors, packed into a device that fits in the palm of your hand. As you touch down from one point to another this plots each position and calculates all the relevant measurements at the same time. So, if you take a straight-line measurement from one wall to another, the product will calculate the A to B measurement, but it will also be able to calculate the difference in height, level or angle between the two points.

This item allows the site to do the following:

  • Generate 3D terrain maps, calculate true surface area, volume, and contour lines.
  • Measure elevation, determine grade, calculate rise and run.
  • Calculate areas and perimeters.
  • Automatically calculate the square footage and perimeter of a measured area.
  • Measure and draw at the same time.
  • Generate accurate dimensioned drawings while you move.
