Outdoor Learning Area

Our teams have been busy at Silkstone Primary School clearing vegetation, laying footpaths and installing the following: a new shed, foundations, flowerbeds, a space for adventurous play, a music area, a pergola, a seating area and raised beds for planting vegetables. We provided our services at no cost to transform the over-grown grass area into a multi-purpose outdoor learning environment for the pupils.

A representative at Silkstone Primary School said:

“The transformation of the neglected area next to the music room is almost complete! The team from C.R. Civil Engineering Ltd have created a wonderful space with flowerbeds, a space for adventurous play, a music area, a pergola and seating area as well as raised beds for planting vegetables. C.R. Civils will return to complete the project in the holidays. We will then just need to add grass seed to the main area and plant up the flower beds at the beginning of the Autumn Term. C.R. Civil Engineering provided the teams of builders and joiners at no cost to the school. We cannot thank them enough for their generosity and hard work in creating such a brilliant outdoor learning environment for our pupils. A huge thank you to Heidi Simpson for securing the team from C.R. Civil and for all her help and advice with the project.”
