Rebate Funded Complimentary Training

HSS Training has worked with the contractor and have implemented complementary training across several of this contractors projects in the UK and as such a bespoke commercial agreement was established to support this proposition.

Additionally, they had the support from the client, to reserve the rebate funds to enhance onsite training for their operatives improving general training on subjects that were relevant to stage of construction and activities on site at that time. The complementary training was funded by the rebates generated from the onsite shop and has been well-received and professionally delivered. This has not only helped to upskill the existing workforce but it has improved their sense of wellbeing and made the project a more appealing project to work on.

They hope this initiative will build on their culture of ‘The Best Place to Work’ promoting a positive approach to all that they do as a team. The system of training is particularly beneficial to their operatives as it focuses on training that the operatives can take forward with them into their future roles and projects rather than being retained solely by their current employer. It is important that their workforce can take their experience working on this project and use it to advance and develop their career further within the construction industry.
