Responding to Social Media to Protect Wildlife
On this project they received notification via social media from local residents that deer had been spotted on site.
Quick to action, the manager was alerted and they went straight to site to undertake checks. A full check of the site and perimeter fencing was undertaken to ensure that it was secure and that the animals could not come to any harm.
When carrying out the checks nothing was found and the team were stood down with thanks from the community for checking all was safe for humans and animals alike.
The contractor have found using social media a great way to get instant updates from the community to help continually ensure they are considerate to the local surrounds and neighbours.
