Tree Pen

The project team noticed that a considerable amount of pens were still being used and then disappearing during the induction process and whilst this had been reduced by switching to paperless systems there was always a need for stationary on site.

As as result, the project manager located numerous websites that provided biodegradable pens that could be used and also ordered pens that could be branded and issued to the students and staff for the visits being carried out at the existing school as well as career fares at local secondary schools and colleges.

The pen also comes with a number of seeds so once the ink has been used the whole pen can be inserted into the ground for a tree to grow from within.

A number have been used to encourage the ecology and habitats around the the adjoining land following agreement with the local authority as the land will remain as land for biodiversity use.
