Use of an Electric Car Onsite

At the Centre Parcs Centre Building and Lodges site, the site team reviewed its overall management of fumes and emissions in the ecologically sensitive forest. As a result, the site team decided to introduce an electric car on site to replace a 4×4 SUV.

The Scheme Monitor believed this to be the first use of an electric car on a construction site in the Republic of Ireland. It is also the first time the use of electric cars have been used through a site’s car leasing company, which required considerable persuasion.
