Waste Transfer Station

A dedicated recycling area is in place at the head office to support construction sites in segregating waste. Caged tippers transport waste from sites to the area where it is being sorted into more than twenty different waste streams.

The information on tonnages is then provided to the sites on a monthly basis and displayed accordingly to further encourage re-use and recycling amongst operatives.

As well as improving awareness of the environmental impacts of waste by using an in-house waste transfer station this also provides financial incentives.

Caged tippers can be filled more efficiently and as such reduce the carbon footprint of the organisation as fewer trips are necessary.

Furthermore the rising cost of the landfill tax can be offset by segregating recyclable materials.
