Welsh Language Logo on Hard Hats

Communicating effectively with the public and showing support for communities is an essential part of being a considerate constructor.

See the examples below for how one site in Wales addressed this:

The contractor worked with the Welsh Language Commissioners Office to launch an orange ‘Iaith Gwaith’ logo for the hard hats of Welsh speaking persons. It was launched at this year’s National Eisteddfod.
The logo is widely recognised as indicating that an individual speaks Welsh and is seen as a simple way to encourage the use of Welsh not only in the workplace but when dealing with members of the public.
It is also a way of showing that the company values and celebrates their workforce’s bilingual skills and that they are proud to be able to offer Welsh language services to others.
This is the first time the logo has been used in construction works.
