Digital Safe Counters for Successful Social Distancing

With coronavirus protection at the forefront of everyone’s mind and ensuring the project remains both safe, and compliant with government guidelines, the project team have worked with the security team to install an automated head counter into the drying/changing rooms.

A large project subsequently means a large workforce and keeping everyone on site safe is a priority. A sensor is located within the drying room and conducts an automatic head count which is then displayed on a tablet outside of the room. When it is safe to access, the tablet displays a green ‘Safe to Enter’ sign, however when the room has reached full capacity and the cubicles are all occupied, the tablet displays a ‘Do Not Enter’ sign. An amber ‘Safe to Enter’ sign is also displayed when the room has reached high level but is lower than the maximum capacity.

The safe count live occupancy monitoring system ensures social distancing can remain and the workforce remain safe and protected from coronavirus. The sensor and tablets also eliminate the requirement for additional security and thus even more reduced human risk. Additionally, the tablets can log peak occupancy trends and footfall which can be monitored to improve site efficiency.
