Managing Male Incontinence

The contractor team carried out a survey onsite to understand and gather statistics on bladder incontinence from the site team so they can look into how they can improve their welfare facilities.

This looked at managing incontinence, resources required to improve quality of life and raise awareness to educate many men who may not seek help due to stigma or lack of awareness. To improve welfare facilities and boost workforce wellbeing they carried out a survey onsite to gather data on awareness of male incontinence.

The results showed the following results:

  • 70% were not aware of the early signs of prostate cancer
  • 100% had never been screened
  • 70% sought education
  • 70% were not informed about bladder incontinence.
  • The vast majority said welfare facilities could be improved with the provision of resource, information, and confidential support/advice on prostate health.

Therefore the contractor introduced items such as sanitary wipes, incontinence pads, and educational information in the men’s welfare facilities.
