Assisting Local Businesses

This contractors Public Liaison Officer spoke to every business around their project to advise them that the road would be closed to all vehicles in the upcoming week. Upon visiting the local chip shop, the owner advised them that the elderly potato delivery man and the lady who delivers the soft drinks would struggle to maintain the deliveries to the chip shop with the road being dug up.

After hearing this the Public Liaison Officer informed the foreman and site manager so that they could put it on their briefing.

This has been fully taken on board and with help from the Ganger, the next time the deliveries came to the chip shop two of the onsite team gladly assisted in getting the potatoes, drinks and other supplies through the works area and then stacked neatly in the shop keeping the owner and the supplier happy.
