Banking In and Out Vehicles

At the Willmott Dixon project UoM: Manchester Student Union we have developed a routine for safely bringing vehicles in and out of the project via the busy Oxford Road.

All deliveries are made aware previously that they must wait on the corner of Oxford Road & Dover Street and contact the site agent upon arrival.

Four banksmen are then used along with yellow barriers and signage to prevent pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles from crossing the road whilst the vehicle is brought onto Oxford Road and backed into site.

When leaving site the same process is used and the vehicle is now facing the road to enable safe exit from site.
