Breast Cancer: Not Just for Women!

Wooldridge Demolition value the health and wellbeing of each member of staff. We are always looking to offer support, advice and awareness to our site workers about different health issues that they might be affected by.

Whilst we all probably think of women when talking about breast cancer, we often forget about the fact that men can get it too.

Even though it does only affect less than 1% of the male population, we thought we would take the opportunity to educate our site on male breast cancer as well as female breast cancer with a toolbox talk PowerPoint presentation which is supported by a self-check poster which takes site staff through a step-by-step guide on how to check for any signs and symptoms.

We have found that this has been a simple and effective way to encourage self care that promotes being able to talk about health concerns, whether it be with colleagues, managers, at home or with friends.
