Demolition Simulator

LA Moore Ltd are currently working for Willmott Dixon in Fairwater School, Cwmbran. The school has a Language & Communication Base where there are children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and as part of Willmott Dixon’s ‘All Safe Week’, we decided to involve the school and the special needs section in their programme of activities.

It was decided that many of the children might benefit from the experience the demolition simulator could offer to them and the feedback confirmed this to be so.

Not only did the children operate the “machine” with skill and enthusiasm, but they also stated that the experience of having the builders, construction and demolition companies on site had been rewarding for them and they felt so lucky to have had the opportunities.

The demolition simulator has also been used to engage with attendees at apprenticeship fairs, widening the exposure of the simulator and therefore enhancing the sector’s reputation and image.
