Environmental Infographic

In order to publicise the benefits of carbon reduction on site the contractor prepared for members of the public an environment infographic to outline the carbon savings experienced by using:

  • Recycled concrete in the permanent works in lieu of crushed rock
  • Stabilising the wet dredge on site and reusing it in the permanent works
  • Using a blended cement binder (GGBS) in lieu of 100% Ordinary Portland Cement
  • EV Charging and HVO Fuel usage

The Client, The Department of the Agriculture, Food and Marine currently have another scheme that is currently with the Planners. This scheme requires dredging and stabilisation. The infographic prepared will inform the wider public the benefit of the methodology used and depicts the carbon reduction, reduction to vehicle movements and improved public safety.
