Moat Exclusion Zones

On IQL S4, we will be implementing a moat exclusion zone system, which consists of 5×5 metre Heras fence ‘zones’ with lockable gates, which will be installed around the perimeter of the building.

To access a zone, the contractor has to fill out a permit, detailing the works being carried out, which is then signed off by Lendlease allowing the contractor to enter. When a zone is booked out, the two adjacent zones can not be booked out by a different contractor, providing a five metre exclusion either side of the work area and vertically up the floors of the building.

This enables works along the perimeter of the structure such as façade installation, safety screen install and any high risk lifting out through moats to be carried out safely.
