Mood Self Assessment Survey

This contractor know that health & safety in the workplace is not just about physical health but also mental wellbeing as well. It is important to take into account how each person feels, acts and reacts and how that then affects their work. Good mental wellbeing does not mean you’re always happy or unaffected by your experiences but poor mental wellbeing can make it more difficult to cope with daily life in general.

To further emphasise ongoing commitment to positive mental health, this project has shared Mood Self-Assessment posters across their site. In conjunction with their internal employee welfare tool You Matter, they produced a poster that includes a QR code which employees, subcontractors or visitors to site can scan to undertake a mood self-assessment. This is a simple yet effective approach that they hope encourages people to check in with their feelings.

Most people find it difficult to discuss how they are feeling and it can sometimes be hard to recognise or admit that we’re not feeling 100%. The QR code allows individuals to self-assess and gives sign posting to helpful advice and information. It is a short survey which asks how you have been feeling lately, helps you better understand how you’ve been feeling over the last 2 weeks and points you in the right direction for helpful advice and information.
