Quick Lock Traffic Signs

This contractor has improved resource efficiency, circularity and reduced carbon emissions by collaborating with suppliers to redesign products and vehicles used in temporary traffic management. The Quick Lock traffic sign, a modular system, is a significant development for our low-speed traffic management business providing more visible, vertical signs and delivering on a number of ESG focus areas of safety and sustainability.

Traditional traffic management signage and equipment included metal frames and weighted sandbags, which provided significant weight challenges when loaded on traffic vehicle management vehicles in the low-speed business. The Quick Lock traffic sign is a significant development which creates major operational efficiencies for the business and also delivers on their sustainability and safety goals.

The modular system of plate, post and weighted base, is an easy to assemble system and creates a more visible solution for the road user and has a reduced footprint when deployed on the highways network. The whole system is recyclable, creates weight savings on equipment which can also help with carbon reduction and improves employee safety.
