On this project they have made an all electric approach. The project is in a live factory environment where production must not be impacted by the construction work. The enclosed space within the factory is without suitable ventilation, and due to this carbon monoxide levels can rise to the point where they are dangerous to the health, safety and welfare of the factory workers and construction staff.

With concern for the environment, the project team have introduced electric forklifts, concrete saws and breaking equipment for the project which don’t have any emissions.

As part of the objective, the junior site manager has been tasked to record the levels of energy usage and carbon footprint being created from the project.

This will help the company better understand what impact such projects have on the environment and help work to the company’s carbon targets.
