Two Minute Litter Pick

Out of the material we have left on site, we have created four ‘Two Minute Litter Pick’ stations for the public. They are placed at each elevation of the site perimeter. The idea is that the public are encouraged to recycle and dispose of general waste in the litter bins provided as they walk around the site to their daily destinations whether that be on their person or waste spotted nearby.

We have had these out for around eight weeks now and they have really taken off positively, the public have been seen using the litter pick to throw away any unwanted rubbish laying on the street as the extended community are proud of this development.

The bins are put out every morning at 7.00 and brought in around 5.30 pm when welfare is getting ready to shut. When they are brought in, the rubbish is emptied for the next day.

As well as contributing to the environment, this is really helping to maintain the appearance of the site and the local area.
