Use of Specwall as a Dry Lined Partitions Replacement

On this project they have used Specwall as a direct replacement for traditional dry lined partitions in the marketing suite and offices. By using Specwall it enabled them to start internal partitions before being completely weathertight which in turn reduced the overall build time.

The panels have a pre finished face which allows final finishes to be applied directly to the wall without need for plastering. In back of house applications services can be fitted directly to the walls without the need for any additional pattressing.

In front of house applications the panels can be chased out for conduits and dry lining boxes. There is an approved method for infilling and making good to prepare for wall finishes. Installation is generally quicker than dry lining and panels can be installed with a two man team.

The panels are secured by angles on the soffit and a floor track. The product has been well developed and will be utilised as a replacement for dry lining in more applications moving forwards.
