Consolidating Deliveries with other Projects

After using deliveries as needed from suppliers, it was noticed by the contractor that often a large flatbed truck would come with just one small item for the site or minimal other supplies, it was clear something better could be arranged.

A smaller timber and builders merchant were due to deliver and were asked as to when they are coming into London so that deliveries could be added.

This led to making contact with other contractors around and they have now established a WhatsApp group with a number of sites in the area where deliveries are coordinated so supplies can be consolidated and fewer trips into the area are required.

The model could easily be adopted by other sites and suppliers in certain areas. This also supports smaller suppliers and increases the customer base and makes journeys more efficient.
