Data Driven Social Value for Local Impact

To enhance the effectiveness and relevance of their social value strategy, this contractor adopted the YemeTech software tool.

This innovative platform uses local demographic data, including metrics on multiple deprivation, education levels, and community assets, to generate a Social Fulfilment Score. This score helps identify which types of social value initiatives would have the greatest impact in a specific area.

Using these insights, they identified a gap in local support services and partnered with Action Youth Boxing Intervention (AYBI), a local Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), to deliver targeted programming that meets real community needs.

By integrating data analytics into community engagement strategies, organisations can move beyond generic programming and deliver targeted, impactful initiatives. This approach supports sustainable development goals, improves resource allocation, and ensures that social value delivery is both strategic and responsive to local contexts.

Importantly, while data tools enhance planning, they do not replace the need for direct community engagement. Combining data insights with on-the-ground consultation ensures that strategies are not only informed but also authentic and inclusive.
