Environmental Games for the Workforce

It is important that the construction workforce have a sound understanding of environmental issues. Communicating this information in an engaging and enjoyable way will ensure the knowledge is retained.

See the examples below for how one site addressed this:

  • The site purchased a set of six interactive games covering areas such as personal carbon footprint, water saving and minimising waste.
  • The game was developed by a student at London South Bank University and is made up of 75% recycled materials. The game is also completely reusable and 100% recyclable.
  • Site management undertook a full day’s training to ensure the games were fully understood and could be delivered effectively on site.
  • The games have been well-received by the workforce, raising environmental awareness and prompting discussion of the issues.
