Eye Protection

Despite a safety glasses policy being in place at Laing O’Rourke, Edinburgh St. James site, there are occasions when operatives can still get dust or grit in their eye. This is especially true with the weather in Scotland where high winds are a common occurrence.

In addition to the safety glasses, Laing O’Rourke has procured a foam backing frame for safety glasses.

This is being used to further reduce the risk of dust or grit getting in our operatives’ eyes. It is believed that this is the first time this additional level of protection for dust has been used.
