Garden Refurbishment in the Local Community

The project team conducted a DIY SOS Big Build project to refurbish the Parkside Gardening Volunteers Group facilities situated in Stratford, East London.

The team provided a complete fit out of the existing building, re-tarmacing the sensory garden and improving their gardening facilities. Material donated included old-samples from the project and subcontractor donated/procured materials.

Mace project team, subcontractors, clients and Westfield staff provided time and materials over 3 week period.

The works completed at Parkside Gardening Volunteers Group will leave a legacy in the community for many years to come.

This builds a relationship with the local community. Mace used their volunteering days to support the project, also waste reduction from site and community engagement including with our supply chain.

Waste reduction where site surplus and old samples integrated into the build. Also suppliers donated materials and labour onsite.
