Hilti Fire Sleeves

On this project, they have procured several Hilti Fire sleeves that have been installed across all ground floor temporary fire doors. These fire sleeves are used on site as fire stopping for builders holes, and can be unscrewed to change which services are passing through the opening. This is then retightened to create a fire seal for the opening. The product is built with a fabric smoke seal and become fully compliant with fire regulations when in use.

Most sites use new builders holes to pass through temporary services however do not fire stop the hole. Some will use a fire mastic to seal the hole which comes at a price for additional materials and labour/call out charges. If any services need removing and reinstating with a new cable this will lead to additional materials and yet more callout charges.

The Hilti fire sleeve reduces the amount of materials being used and reduces labour costs, this is due to the price of one of these reusable sleeves being less than that of materials and call out charges.
