NFC Tag used to Display Competencies

This contractor implemented an inexpensive NFC tag built into a card to save and easily show all relevant competency certificates to the main contractor during the induction process.

This can be linked with an online database which contains copies of the certificates and a spreadsheet that is programmed to show when certificates are out of date and require renewal. This can all be programmed with a smartphone.

If companies are encouraged to incorporate this as a system it can encourage an individual to be responsible for their competency card and ensure that training requirements are efficiently communicated upstream. It would also provide a main contractor an easy method of receiving, managing and storing certificates for the larger site team on each project.
