Off Site Prefabricated Reinforcement

On this project they have designed and fabricated off site reinforcement sections for the super flat specialised concrete ground floor slabs of a warehouse.

This system consists of a prefabricated roll out bottom matt of reinforcement along with prefabricated top matt sections complete with u-bars around the edges and highchairs attached ready to be installed onto the roll out bottom matt.

All sections are fully prefabricated off site using automated technology and under a controlled environment.

The benefits of this are:

  • Reduced transport to site and improving on their carbon footprint.
  • Reduces steel fixing time by 75% in comparison to traditional methods.
  • Increased production outputs on site, thus improving programme for the project.
  • Eliminating Health & Safety risks associated with traditional reinforcement assembly in terms of manual handling and back injuries to operatives.
  • Panels are designed and prefabricated using the latest 3D technology to increase accuracy and quality.
  • All panels arrive on-site pre-slung and loaded in a reverse order sequence to ensure a swift and efficient installation on delivery. As few as three steel fixers are required onsite for the installation process.
