One Planet Living Participation

The One Planet Living framework aims to conserve the earth’s resources and tackle the emerging climate and ecological crisis. Integrating sustainability into construction projects is key to achieving this.

For this reason, One Planet living has been adopted and promoted onsite in Bonham Quay. A number of commitments have been made by the site in the areas of:

  • Health and Happiness
  • Equity and Local Economy
  • Culture and Community
  • Land and Nature
  • Sustainable Water
  • Local and Sustainable Food
  • Travel and Transport
  • Zero Waste
  • Zero Carbon Energy

Within each of these areas, targets have been set in the form of KPIs. These have been displayed internally onsite for workers and also on a community notice board television at the site entrance for passersby to view. They include records of site noise, carbon offsetting targets, local school/community visits and the percentage of local supplier and workers onsite.

As targets are met, the notice board is updated and relays our progress and goals to the community. Feedback from the public, clients and site team regarding our participation in the scheme has been resoundingly positive, as it helps showcase our commitment to issues regarding sustainability, community and the environment.
