Pedal Operated Crane Radio and Live Feed Camera

In both tower cranes on site, they have implemented pedal operated crane radios, with external microphone and speaker, meaning the crane operators don’t have to take their eyes or hands away from the lift to be able to talk over the radio.

Less distractions therefore decrease the risk of anything going wrong during the lift. There is also a camera in the cab for the driver’s welfare.

This is a live feed so if they suspect anything is wrong with the driver, they can check whether they’re well or if they need rescuing by the trained on site crane rescue team.

The footage is also stored on an SD card so if they need to review and improve methods of communication between the crane team they can, improving the overall safety of lifting operations on site.
