Prefabricated Joint Bays

Work on site has included the utilisation of prefabricated joint bays which can be simply delivered to site and lifted into position.

The prefabricated units remove the need for temporary works and benefits include the speeding up of site installation, reduction of on-site construction, a reduced number of vehicle movements, improvement of quality of installation due to production in factory environment and the reduction in on site concrete waste.

The process including duct transposing enables cables to be transposed once they reach the joint bay in accordance with single line diagrams, this removes all manual handling risks and offers quality, safety, and time benefits.
