Semi-Automated Robot Drilling

A semi-automated robot has been used to drill fixing holes on site.

This initiative reduced the exposure to silica dust, eliminates potential HAVS, eliminates the need for work at height with power tools and improved accuracy and efficiency with more than 300 holes cut per day currently being achieved.

This industry leading investment is being used as a pilot project for Multiplex and the lessons learnt and the benefits have been shared within their business and with the wider industry through knowledge sharing.

The information captured on the 3D model is used to guide the robot to an exact drill point.
