Promoting Local Area Cycle Network

In support of the Taunton Area Cycle Network, the site team have introduced an innovative, practical approach to encourage cycling in the area.

The site team’s three-step approach comprises of the following:

  1. Displaying the campaign’s cycle network tube map on the site hoarding adjacent to the cycle path to raise awareness of the campaign and to offer cyclists the chance to stop and plan this route.
  2. To offer passing cyclists a fix it station on site, should they have an issue with their bike. The site team are keen cyclists, so are able to fix most bike maintenance issues.
  3. The company has added its formal support to the campaign and signed the ‘Turn the Network Blue’ pledge to seek government funding to improve the cycle network.
