Wheel Chocks

Following an on site near missed on the project, where a lorry driver had released his hand break, resulting on the vehicle moving backwards, the project team have decided to introduce wheel chock blocks.

The Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) for traffic management has been amended and all members of the traffic marshal team have been briefed on how to safely place and remove wheel chock blocks.

Once the vehicles engine has been switched off, a member of the traffic marshal team will place wheel chocks which will ensure there is no vehicle movement.
